Fire Extinguishers
The Arvada Fire Protection District is happy to teach your business or organization the proper times to use techniques that should used to attack a fire with an extinguisher. This class can be taught either at your location or at our Training Center. At this time, we are not able to provide the extinguishers for you to use as part of “hands-on” training. You can contact your provider for extra extinguishers for the training. We have requested a grant that would allow us to provide this for you and your organization, but at this time, we have not heard whether we will receive the grant.
If you would like to use our extinguishers, the only charge is to have the used extinguishers refilled. The fee schedule is:
10 lb Dry Chemical - $19.50
15 lb Carbon Dioxide - $15
The classroom portion of this training takes 15-20 minutes and the “hands-on” portion time can vary depending on how many people go through the practical training.
