Fire and Life Safety Education

Each week,

11 children,
27 senior citizens
and
2 fire fighters

die in fires. It is our mission to lower these numbers.

Just like all of the other aspects of the fire service, Fire Prevention has become much more than it once was.  To begin with, the name has changed from Fire Prevention to Fire and Life Safety Education to reflect a new attitude in our programs.  As the fire service’s alarm volume has drifted further away from just fire calls, so have our education programs.  For example, we still teach “Stop, Drop and Roll” just as always, but now we also have CPR and First Aid classes, a Juvenile Fire Setter program to help children that have a fascination with starting fires, Child Passenger Safety Seat programs and more programs that are being added all of the time.

Click on the links that are offered below for more information on the programs that we offer at the Arvada Fire Protection District.
