The Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a reported structure fire at 6875 W. 84th Way #7 on Thursday, October 5, 2006. The initial call was received at 1:47 am and the first unit arrived on scene at 1:52 am. Initial arriving units reported heavy smoke and fire showing from the first and second floors of the townhome. The townhome was one of the end units in a 10-unit, U-shaped building. The Arvada Police Department assisted with the evacuation of the connected homes. The affected townhome was a total loss but fire crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the adjacent unit. The fire was declared under control at 2:05 am.
